Very few have shaped my career as a speaker, or my life, as have Dr. Wayne Dyer. Sadly, he passed away last night.
Some of my fondest memories as a child were sitting with my mom watching Dr. Dyer on Prairie Public Television, the local PBS station. Although I wasn’t a big fan of all the fundraising commercials at the time (I was a kid) I loved learning from Wayne and his teachings had a profound impact on me as a kid, and helped create some beautiful bonding moments with my mother.
I had the opportunity to see him in person a few times, including earlier this year in Denver with my wife Tricia. I am certain that what he shared with us will not only continue to guide me as a speaker, but provide an anchor and reference point in raising our family and teaching our kids.
